ACG Orders 20 A220

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) leasing company signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for 20 A220s. The lessor has also placed a firm order for 40 A320neo Family aircraft, including five A321XLRs.

 

Founded in 1989, ACG is a subsidiary of Tokyo Century Company and is based in Newport Beach, California. It has a global presence with offices in Amsterdam, Madrid, Santiago, Seattle, Shanghai, Singapore and UK. It has more than 400 aircraft under management, including 280 under leasing which are distributed among its 90 customers. Its portfolio is made up of 96% single-aisle Airbus and Boeing aircraft. This is ACG’s first commitment to the A220.

 

ALC Confirms Its Order

Meanwhile, leasing company ALC has turned its letter of intent for 111 Airbus aircraft into a firm order. It was at the Dubai Airshow that ALC signed this letter of intent. The order includes 25 A220-300, 55 A321neo, 20 A321XLR, three A330neo and seven A350 cargo aircraft. The chairman of ALC released this information in an investor presentation last week.

 

Airbus will therefore be able to add 151 orders to its backlog before the end of 2021.
