Air Transat Cancels 30% of Its Flights

It is Air Transat’s turn to announce cancellations due to slowing demand. The airline therefore cancels nearly 30% of its flights between January 6 and February 25. Air Transat explains that demand fell with the arrival of the Omicron variant and the tightening of sanitary measures. She therefore decided to cancel the flights so the occupancy rate was too low. Passengers affected by this decision will be entitled to a full refund.

 

The company says it is monitoring the situation closely and could make further adjustments if necessary. Obviously, the airlines’ winter season 2022 will be trashed as well.
